About Mark Tango

A hard working, talented Information Technology executive who has over twenty years of extensive qualifications spanning aggressive markets. I am experienced in managing and migrating Cloud, Infrastructure and Network Storage. I have provided extensive expertise in Data Center and cloud operations, PCI, ITIL, setting SLA’s and KPI’s along with extensive change management, project management, and disaster recovery methodologies.

Using a hands-on detail-oriented approach that builds successful teams of diverse individuals by creating the optimal team-building environment while surpassing client expectations and continually beating deadlines through a keen ability to reduce overhead and increase productivity while fostering positive team morale. I have vast experiences with analyzing deficiencies, vulnerabilities, opportunities, and potentials while simultaneously seeking out economic advantages to increase profitability, competitiveness, and customer service.

Based out of the Boston area, my past positions include: A member of the Haemonetics IT leadership team. a member of the management team at CohnReznick where I developed cloudSmart technologyAlso being employed as the Associate Vice President of Infrastructure Management Delivery with Zensar Technologies, I brought together both USA and off shore teams to work collaboratively to fulfill the goals and expectations of our clients’ needs.
Prior, I served as the Data Center Storage Director with BAE Systems Information Technology, with bases in New Hampshire, Texas, and Virginia. I was charged with developing & managing its storage architects’ team, utilizing technology from NetApp and DELL, Cisco. VMware to name a few of the technology stacks. During this time, I drove storage policies and standardization to reduce storage costs by controlling capacity and growth. In this position I was responsible for $25 million in storage assets across the company’s U.S. data centers.

I am an Information Technology Expert Speaker aligned with Ziff Davis, Inc., where I’ve presented various IT webinars; while also being a frequent guest speaker & presenter for the Gartner Data Center’s Infrastructure & Operations Management Conference.

Throughout my decades long career in IT, I’ve published White Papers with Gartner analysts regarding the data center storage world, including The presentation at the Gartner Data Center conference in Las Vegas titled “End-User Case Study: Uniting Corporate Information Management Mandates with IT Efficiency to Save Millions in Storage.”

Collaborating through numerous interviews with technology publications on various technology topics,​ I have been able to share my knowledge and years of experience to help support the growth of other IT specialists.

As creator of cloudSMART, a three tiered process to illuminate the risks and challenges moving to the cloud may have on an organization. I enjoy assisting and leading teams on cloud adoption using industry wide best practices. Using my executive leadership skills, I’d like to help you and your organization with my consulting skills and IT speaker visits both digitally or in person to motivate your teams and help work out kinks. I have a strong talent for problem solving and building teams rise to the level needed to compete in today’s ever changing technological world.
